Creating cute spring nails
1. Prep your nails and apply peel base
Apply a layer of builder gel or rubber base and buff it smooth. This provides a stable surface for your peel base and dip layers.
Choose the thickness based on your desired wear time—thicker for short-term wear (2–3 days), thinner for longer wear (up to a week). Avoid the edges for better adhesion.

2. Let peel base dry completely
Once dry, apply a thin layer of dip base over the entire nail. Let this dry fully before moving on to color blocking.

3. Set up your color block
Use thin nail tape to section off your design. Press it down firmly at the cuticle and free edge, but lightly in the middle to avoid lifting the base layer.

4. Apply first dip color
Using shimmer or solid dip powder, apply dip base only in the exposed area of the nail, being careful not to flood over the tape.

Pour dip powder over the area.

Then remove the tape gently for crisp lines.

5. Apply activator to first section
Brush off excess powder and apply activator only to the dipped section. This prevents colors from bleeding during the next dip layer.

6. Repeat for second color block
Use tape again to section the second area. Apply dip base carefully, pour your second dip color and activate as before.

7. Finish dip layers and encapsulate
Apply a second dip layer if needed. Finish with a clear dip layer to encapsulate your design. This protects your colors during filing and shaping.

8. Buff, file, and shape your nails
After applying activator and letting it cure, buff and shape your nails off-camera or as preferred. Wipe with alcohol to clean the surface for stamping.

9. Begin layered stamping
Start with your base stamp image, then layer the details (patterns, textures) on top. Work quickly so the stamping polish doesn’t dry before transfer. I started with an egg shape for an Easter design, then added details onto it.
10. Fix or change as needed
If you make a mistake or don’t like a design, wipe it off with alcohol before the polish sets. You can retry without damaging your dip base.
11. Add accent stamps
To complete your design, add smaller accents like carrots or other spring-themed images. Choose lighter, spring-like colors for a cohesive look.

12. Seal with smudge-free top coat and dip top-coat
Apply a smudge-free top coat over all stamped designs, making sure to cover the entire nail and cap the edges. Let it dry for 5–10 minutes.
Once your smudge-free top coat is fully dry, apply dip activator to all five nails. Wait 60 seconds, then apply two to three quick, thin strokes of dip top coat. Cap the edges for long-lasting shine.
