Most of Fourth of July expected to be dry
City of Milwaukee monitoring weather, still plans to hold fireworks displays
Most of Fourth of July expected to be dry
VERY CLOSE EYE ON HERE OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. AS FOR OUR FORECAST TODAY, A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR STORMS FOR THE 4TH OF JULY. BUT IF YOU HAVE PLANS OUTSIDE, I WOULD NOT CANCEL THEM. PACK THE SUNSCREEN, PACK THE WATER. IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY FOR SOME BARBECUES 7:00 TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO 71 DEGREES. WE’RE SITTING AT 7374 IN MILWAUKEE. THIS MORNING. BY NOON, WE SHOULD BE MOSTLY DRY FOR PARADES. TEMPERATURES TOPPING OUT CLOSE TO ABOUT 81 DEGREES. IT’S AFTERNOON THAT OUR CHANCE FOR SOME SHOWERS, MAYBE A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER STARTS TO INCREASE. THAT’S IS ISOLATED. IT WILL BE ISOLATED, MAYBE EVEN POP UP. SO A LOT OF THE AREA STAYS DRY THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. BUT IF YOU HAVE PLANS OUTSIDE, JUST HAVE A PLAN TO DUCK INSIDE. IF THERE IS A STORM OVER WHERE YOU ARE. IF YOU’RE HEADED OUT TO FIREWORKS TONIGHT, I KNOW A LOT OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY PARKS AND A LOT OF OTHER PLACES HAVE DISPLAYS. THERE IS STILL A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SOME STORMS. I THINK WE’RE GOING TO BE OKAY FOR FIREWORKS. BUT AGAIN, KEEP AN EYE ON THE FORECAST ON THE RADAR. MILD AND HUMID FOR THE MOST PART. IT’S GOING TO BE A REALLY NICE EVENING TO GET OUTSIDE AND ENJOY THE BETTER CHANCE OF STORMS. MAYBE A FEW STRONGER STORMS STAYS ACROSS OUR WESTERN COUNTIES. EVERYONE ELSE, OUR STORM CHANCES REALLY START TO INCREASE AFTER 10 OR 11:00. SO THE BOTTOM LINE IS MOST OF THE DAY IS DRY. MOST OF THE DAY IS SUNNY. IF YOU’RE GOING TO BARBECUE, YOU’RE GOING TO A PARADE, YOU’RE GOING TO A FIREWORKS DISPLAY. DON’T CANCEL THOSE PLANS. BUT WE DO HAVE A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR AFTERNOON AND EVENING STORMS, BUT WE’RE PREDOMINANTLY LOOKING DRY FOR PARADES AND FIREWORKS. 85 DEGREES GREAT. MOST OF THE DAY FOR YOUR 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY TOMORROW, MAYBE NOT SO MUCH. I THINK WE’LL HAVE SOME DRY TIME, BUT ON AND OFF, ISOLATED, SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE LOOKING LIKELY FOR YOUR FRIDAY. SATURDAY LOOKS FANTASTIC. THEN MORE STORM CHANCES. SUNDAY, MONDAY AND TUESDAY. HERE’S FUTURECAST 5:00. WE ARE MOSTLY DRY HERE IN SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN. KEEPING AN EYE ON A STORM SYSTEM THAT’S CLOSER TO KANSAS CITY. THAT MAY BRING IN A FEW SHOWERS AS WE HEAD TOWARDS 1:00. WHAT I THINK IS MOST MORE LIKELY NOTICE THE YELLOWS THAT POP UP. WE START TO SEE A FEW STORMS CLOSER TO MADISON, BEAVERDAM, LA CROSSE MAYBE SOME POP UPS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON, BUT THEY DON’T STAY IN ANY ONE PLACE FOR ALL THAT LONG. A MUCH BIGGER STORM SYSTEM. OFF TO OUR WEST DISSIPATES BEFORE IT GETS HERE. WE HAVE A MUCH BETTER CHANCE FOR STORMS OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND THEN ON AND OFF THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW. SO IF YOU’RE GOING TO SUMMERFEST, YOU HAVE 4TH OF JULY PLANS. IT’S BEAUTIFUL. IT WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY, WARM AND HUMID WITH JUST A TINY CHANCE FOR SOME STORMS AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. A BETTER CHANCE FOR ISOLATED TO SCATTERED STORMS. PRETTY MUCH ALL DAY TOMORROW. IT WILL BE COOLER TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S. BEAUTIFUL ON SATURDAY FOR THE LAST DAY OF SUMMERFEST, THEN DAILY STORM CHANCES SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY WITH TEMPERATURES HANGING OUT IN THE 80S. NOT A BAD FORECAST. I GUESS IT COULD BE. IT COULD BE, IT COULD BE WORSE. IT COULD BE BETTER. IT’S A LITTLE A LITTLE TOO MANY RAINY ICONS ON THAT FORECAST. BUT IT’S FINE. WE’LL DEAL. I THINK WE’RE GETTING USED TO IT. BU
